My name is stuart and I make music.

Sound effects too. Scroll down and listen.

Who is Stuart?

I make music and sound effects for media, mainly video games. My last name is Ferguson.

I have massive amounts of enthusiasm for dynamic and adaptive audio for video games (see my work on "Them's Fightin' Herds"), and love challenging myself in this area.

I'm heavily influenced by classic games, lo-fi and DIY sounds as well as high fantasy and RPG soundtracks. More than anything I aim for character in my music.

Isolated Sound Effects Demo

In this video I took some silent gameplay footage and and sequenced my own sound design and foley to replace what would have been heard in the original game.

Dynamic Music Demo

This video is from the pre-release crowdfunding footage for 'Them's Fightin' Herds". The video shows an early version of the dynamic music system I built for the game and how the characters interactions affect what the player hears.
